A Washington federal district court granted UPS’s motion for partial judgment or to limit the scope of a new trial in a case involving claims under Washington’s Law Against Discrimination, wrongful discharge in violation of public policy, and 42 U.S.C. § 1981a, ruling that the plaintiff is precluded from pursuing punitive damages at the new trial because the court previously found no evidentiary basis for such damages based on malice or reckless indifference.
