A New York appellate court affirmed a lower court’s order granting summary judgment to the City University of New York on the state law religious and national origin discrimination and unlawful retaliation claims of a Christian Puerto Rican peace officer because the university proffered a legitimate, nondiscriminatory reason to fire him, and the officer didn’t raise any triable issues of discriminatory pretext or whether his supervisor and coworkers’ remarks created a hostile work environment.
