A Washington federal district court denied the United States Postal Service Postmaster General’s motion for summary judgment on a hostile work environment claim under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act brought by an Asian female postmaster of Chinese ethnicity who alleged USPS employees targeted her with false misconduct complaints because of her protected characteristics, finding genuine issues of material fact as to whether employees’ derogatory comments and complaints about her were based on her race, gender, and national origin, and whether the conduct was sufficiently severe or pervasive to create an abusive work environment.
