A Washington federal district court denied summary judgment in part to the U.S. Navy on a shipyard civilian employee’s Age Discrimination in Employment Act claims, where, although his disparate treatment, disparate impact and hostile work environment claims prior to 2020 were time-barred, he established a prima facie case of age discrimination and retaliation concerning a promotion opportunity and reassignments to waterfront jobs, raising genuine factual questions about the Navy’s motives.
