An Indiana federal court granted summary judgment to the Department of Veterans Affairs on the claims of a Black police officer that he faced a hostile work environment because of his race and retaliation for complaining, in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, stating that the officer couldn’t show that his coworkers’ behavior was severe and pervasive enough to constitute a hostile work environment, nor that he suffered adverse actions as a result of his complaints.
