A Texas federal court granted summary judgment to Highmark Residential, LLC on the claims of a female leasing manager alleging sexual harassment from a coworker and a hostile work environment through employer inaction, in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, ruling that Highmark wasn’t liable for the conduct of the coworker because it lacked actual or constructive notice of the harassment, and the manager failed to notify Highmark of the harassment until right before her resignation.
