A Tennessee federal court granted summary judgment to Baptist Health Sciences University on the claims of a 50-year-old job applicant that she wasn’t hired for a position she interviewed for due to her age, in violation of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and state law, ruling that the proffered reasons of a poor interview, a misleading resume, and ineligibility for hire based on previously undisclosed information, could neither be refuted nor shown to be pretext for retaliatory motives.
