A New York federal district court granted a motion to dismiss discrimination claims under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act brought by 35 former professional baseball scouts aged 54-86 against Major League Baseball, its commissioner, and various MLB clubs, finding the court lacked personal jurisdiction over non-resident clubs and the scouts failed to sufficiently allege age was the “but-for” cause of the New York clubs’ failure to hire them.
