A trainee for a Pennsylvania nursing facility may proceed with his claim that he was forced to resign from a pre-employment training program—which he alleged resulted in the center failing to hire him as a certified nursing assistant—because of his age. The program instructor’s alleged comments to the trainee that he wouldn’t be able to work as a certified nursing assistant, that he should just enjoy his retirement, and that the program would figure out a way to eliminate him if he didn’t quit could show that the facility acted in a discriminatory manner. The case is Glendening v. Fair Acres Geriatric Ctr., 2019 BL 412451, E.D. Pa., No. 19-cv-01167-JMY, 10/28/19
