Case: Discrimination/Exhaustion of Remedies (N.D. Ala.)

December 13, 2018, 3:22 PM UTC

An employee bringing suit against the Birmingham Airport Authority for race and sex discrimination may proceed with claims for a hostile work environment. In his EEOC charge, he referred to supervisors who followed him around and wrote him up for the appearance of any infraction of work rules, and the court said that an EEOC investigator could reasonably conclude that he was complaining about a hostile work environment. The case is Skelton v. Birmingham Airport Auth., N.D. Ala., Civil Action Number 2:18-cv-01240-AKK, 12/12/18.
