A Washington D.C. federal district court concluded a Black woman employed at the Department of Veterans Affairs failed to exhaust her race discrimination and sex discrimination claims, finding her evidence was insufficient to make a prima facie case without concrete examples to support her allegations, temporal proximity alone couldn’t prove causation, and the agency’s legitimate, nondiscriminatory reasons for its actions weren’t pretextual, thus granting summary judgment to the government.
