A New York federal district court denied GeneDx, LLC’s motion to dismiss race and sex discrimination claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and the Connecticut Fair Employment Practices Act, brought by a Black male General Counsel who alleged disparate treatment, including denial of a sign-on bonus given to a White female executive, reduction of his stock award with the difference going to the same White female, unusual monitoring of his work, and replacement by a female after termination, finding these allegations provided sufficient support for an inference of discrimination to survive the pleading stage.
