A Texas federal district court granted summary judgment to Hammond Power Solutions, Inc. on claims by a 52-year-old female national sales manager with anxiety of age discrimination under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, sex discrimination and retaliation under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, and disability discrimination under the Americans with Disabilities Act, ruling that she failed to show the company’s stated reason for termination—failure to respond to communications during medical leave—was pretext for discrimination.
