A Virginia federal district court granted summary judgment to Patient First on the claims of a female Iranian physician that she faced discrimination and was discharged due to her color, sex, and national origin, in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and state law, ruling that the physician hadn’t provided any evidence that color, sex, or national origin played any role in the discharge decision, or that the proffered reason for the discharge was pretext for discriminatory animus.
