A New York federal district court denied summary judgment to Northwell Health, Inc. on the claims of a 70-year-old cardiologist that he was pushed out of his job and into retirement due to his age, in violation of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and state law, ruling that the cardiologist was able to show that he suffered an adverse action, and that the circumstances surrounding his previous contract and the decision not to renew the contract suggested discrimination based on his age.
