An Alabama federal court granted summary judgment to Parker Aerospace Filtration Division, on the age discrimination claims under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of a senior buyer hired at age 55 and terminated at age 60, where his replacement by a younger employee and alleged ageist comments by a supervisor weren’t sufficient to show discriminatory intent, and Parker Aerospace offered a legitimate explanation for his termination—poor job performance and declining evaluations.
