A federal district court denied Masonic Village at Sewickley’s motion to dismiss claims of associational disability discrimination and retaliation under the Americans with Disabilities Act and Pennsylvania Human Relations Act brought by a 62-year-old reception screener/security guard who alleged he was terminated due to his association with his disabled wife and in retaliation for opposing discrimination against her, finding he sufficiently pled facts showing his termination was motivated by his wife’s disability and his protected activity in supporting her legal claims.
