A New York federal court mostly denied New York University’s motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict on the claims of an associate professor with a disability related to Covid-19 that he was denied a reasonable accommodation for his medical disability and discharged for requesting an accommodation, in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act and state law, ruling that while the professor wasn’t entitled to punitive damages, all of his underlying claims were reasonably decided.
