Case: Disability Discrimination/Reasonable Accommodation (D. Mont.)

GlaxoSmithKline LLC is entitled to summary judgment on a value stream manufacturing technician’s failure to accommodate and discriminatory termination claims under the Americans with Disabilities Act alleging she was forced to quit after an incident with a co-worker intensified her anxiety, stress and depression, a federal district court in Montana ruled. The court found that she didn’t show that her request to have no contact with her co-worker was reasonable and thus, couldn’t meet her burden of showing that she was capable of performing essential job functions with a reasonable accommodation.
