A New York federal district court denied PaperWorks Industries, Inc.'s motion to dismiss disability discrimination claims under the Americans with Disabilities Act and New York State Human Rights Law brought by a former employee with PTSD and degenerative disc disease, finding that the employee sufficiently alleged facts showing his conditions substantially limited major life activities including sleeping, concentrating, communicating, lifting, bending, and standing, and that the medical certification referenced in his complaint further supported his claim of qualifying disabilities.
