A Washington federal district court denied summary judgment to Northeastern University and a marketing manager – who suffered from carpal tunnel syndrome – on her failure to accommodate claim under the Washington Law Against Discrimination, finding that her job description didn’t identify typing or talking in excess of her restriction as an essential job function and that a jury could find that Northeastern didn’t adequately engage in an interactive process.
