A federal district court ruled that DDP Specialty Electronic Materials US, Inc. is entitled to summary judgment on a failure to accommodate claim under Michigan’s Persons with Disabilities Civil Rights Act brought by a discharged special resins operator diagnosed with central pontine myelinolysis who wasn’t rehired in two similar positions he applied for, where his CPM and ensuing permanent medical restrictions prevented him from being able to perform his essential job duties and qualifications.
