The United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit affirmed a Virginia federal district court’s dismissal of a former federal air marshal’s failure-to-accommodate claim under the Rehabilitation Act against the Transportation Security Administration, finding that the air marshal, who had severe myopia, chronic dry eyes, cardiac issues, pulmonary hypertension, hypoglycemia, and chronic muscle/nerve pain, was not a qualified individual capable of performing essential job functions, as she had admitted her inability to perform essential duties, and the TSA had already provided reasonable accommodations by reassigning her to another federal agency position.
