A Washington federal district court granted a Boeing employee’s motion to remand his class action disability discrimination claims under the Washington Law Against Discrimination to state court, finding that the court lacked subject matter jurisdiction because Boeing failed to establish the requisite amount in controversy for Class Action Fairness Act jurisdiction, and the employee’s claims challenging a collective bargaining agreement provision denying ratification bonuses to employees on disability leave exceeding 90 days were not preempted by § 301 of the Labor Management Relations Act.
