KW Framing Inc., a framing contractor in River Grove, Ill., has been cited for one willful and four serious safety violations and proposed penalties of $77,072, according to the Department of Labor Friday.
The company allegedly lacked fall protection, failed to have guardrails on window openings, misused ladders, and exposed workers to unprotected rebar, said the agency’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
The company has 15 business days from receipt of its citations and penalties to comply, request an informal conference with OSHA, or contest the findings.
