Cargill Meat Solutions Corp. workers who allege the company stiffed them on overtime pay for Covid-19 screenings can pursue their claims as a class, a federal judge said.
More than 3,000 production workers fall within the newly certified class, which covers everyone who worked at one of the Cargill Inc. subsidiary’s three Pennsylvania meat processing and distribution facilities during any week since July 12, 2019, earned an hourly wage, and worked at least 40 hours per week, the US District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania said Wednesday.
