Attorneys representing call center employees for APAC Customer Services Inc. June 7 requested court approval of a $4 million settlement of Fair Labor Standards Act overtime pay claims regarding uncompensated work before and after shifts and during meal breaks (Sharpe v. APAC Customer Servs. Inc.).
APAC, which provides customer interaction services for clients in a variety of industries, employed approximately 5,000 customer service representatives at its nine call centers as of September 2009.
