California Wal-Mart Warehouse Workers Strike for Second Time in Three Months

Some two dozen nonunion warehouse workers went on strike Nov. 14 to protest continued retaliation at a major Wal-Mart Stores Inc. warehouse in Jurupa Valley, Calif., Warehouse Workers United (WWU) announced the same day.

WWU is funded by the Change to Win labor federation, which is helping the workers coordinate their efforts.

The striking workers are employed by either NFI Industries, which owns and operates the warehouse under contract with Wal-Mart, or Warestaff, a staffing agency.
