California Immigration Judge Sexually Harassed Staff, Suit Says

Los Angeles Assistant Chief Immigration Judge Scott D. Laurent allegedly subjected his assistant to “graphic” conversations about his sexual relations with private and government attorneys and another judge, according to a new lawsuit.

Former staff assistant Claudia Escoto alleges Laurent engaged in such conduct when in judge’s robes on the bench, and that the Department of Justice denied her request to transfer to another supervisor after detailing the judge’s harassment.
