California FedEx Freight Drivers Move to Cut Ties With Teamsters

The International Brotherhood of Teamsters is facing yet another decertification bid at a recently organized FedEx Freight facility. If successful, the campaign would remove the Teamsters as the employees’ bargaining agent.

Workers at a Stockton, Calif., plant filed the decertification petition with the National Labor Relations Board on April 4, according to NLRB case records. No vote has yet been scheduled.

About 50 employees are covered by the bargaining unit, which was formed after a lengthy legal battle in 2015.

Representatives from FedEx and the Teamsters didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.
