Cafe, Worker Who Feared Sexual Assault Settle Forced-Quit Suit

A South Carolina cafe and a former employee—who said it failed to fire or discipline a male employee who sexually assaulted her four times—have settled her constructive discharge claims, federal court records show.

The U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina entered an order Thursday dismissing Kristen Dixon’s 2018 lawsuit against Boone Hall Farms Cafe.

The court was advised by lawyers for both parties that the case “has been settled,” Judge David C. Norton said.

Terms of the settlement aren’t part of the court record and counsel didn’t immediately respond Friday to Bloomberg Law’s requests for details.
