CA Ventures CEO Fired Top Employee to Steal Equity, Lawsuit Says

Commercial real estate investment company CA Ventures LLC and its founder were sued in Delaware by a longtime employee and minority owner who says he was fired without even a pretext so that his equity could be arbitrarily seized.

In addition to CA Ventures and CEO Thomas C. Scott, the Chancery Court lawsuit targets a web of subsidiaries and affiliates formed as the business expanded in the years since Scott launched it to buy up off-campus student housing near large universities.
