Burmese Migrants, Civil Rights Groups Sue Over Lost Protections

The Trump administration’s termination of deportation protections for about 4,000 people from Myanmar is unlawful, a group of immigrants from the country argue in a new lawsuit against the government.

The Department of Homeland Security will remove a Temporary Protected Status designation for the country in January, stripping lawful status and employment authorization for those immigrants.
