Burlington Store Employees Seek Nod for $11 Million Wage Deal

Burlington Stores Inc. assistant store managers asked a New Jersey federal court for early approval of an $11 million collective action settlement in an overtime wage case, saying the proposed deal provides an excellent result for the workers.

Kim Payton-Fernandez alleged the discount department store chain misclassified the workers as exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act to avoid paying them overtime.
