Burger King, Popeyes, and Tim Hortons will eliminate “no-poach” provisions that limit franchisees’ ability to hire employees from other franchises as part of a multistate settlement, according to a release from California Attorney General
The three fast-food companies agreed to stop enforcing existing no-poach provisions and to no longer include such language in any of their U.S. franchise agreements. Attorneys general from 13 states and the District of Columbia signed onto the settlements, which stemmed from a multistate investigation announced in July 2018.
