Buffalo Wild Wings Settles Pregnant Server’s Discrimination Case

Buffalo Wild Wings has settled a gender and disability discrimination lawsuit filed by a California server that was set for a final pretrial conference next month, according to a San Diego federal court filing.

Cassandra Lackman worked at Buffalo Wild Wings’ location in Santee from 2013 until her termination in 2019, and held multiple serving and bartending positions.

She took approved pregnancy disability leave from Oct. 2018 through Feb. 2019 after managers told her there was no way the restaurant could accommodate the standing, walking, lifting, bending, twisting, and climbing restrictions recommended by her doctor, the court said in a ...
