Booz Allen HR Employee’s Age Bias Claims Fail on Appeal (1)

Booz Allen Hamilton prevailed on age discrimination and emotional distress claims brought by a former human resources employee who was terminated following the company’s HR restructuring, under a ruling by the Third Circuit on Monday.

Anne-Marie Cronin worked at Booz Allen from 2004 to 2017, the court said. After Booz Allen switched HR platforms in 2015, it informed HR staff in 2017 that their current roles would be eliminated to create a new HR position, which there would be fewer of. Current employees were invited to apply to the new position, and Cronin, who was over 40 years old, did. ...
