Bolivia Added to Eligible Countries for Temporary Work Visas

Bolivia will be designated as an eligible country to participate in H-2A and H-2B temporary work visa programs, the Department of Homeland Security said in a Federal Register notice released Wednesday.

After the addition of Bolivia, 87 countries will be eligible to participate in the H-2A program, and 88 will be eligible for the H-2B program. The change will be effective Thursday when the Federal Register notice is formally published.

The DHS notice cited economic conditions in Bolivia, saying that eligibility for the temporary work visas would contribute to the administration’s aims of promoting economic development and bilateral commercial development. ...
