The International Brotherhood of Boilermakers has rejected a tentative labor agreement with freight rail carriers, the third union to spurn a last-minute agreement that was brokered by the Biden administration in September.
Members of the union—which represents about 300 of more than 100,000 workers covered under the proposed contract—voted to reject a deal that would have provided an immediate 14.1% wage increase, the National Carriers’ Conference Committee said Monday.
