Boeing Union Accepts Contract Offer, Ending 102-Day Strike (2)

Boeing Co. factory workers in the St. Louis area voted to accept the company’s latest five-year contract offer, ending the longest strike at the planemaker since 1948.

The 3,200 members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Union District 837 will start returning to the job the evening of Nov. 16. After rejecting four previous offers, workers accepted terms that will increase average wages by a total of 24% and give them a $6,000 signing bonus.
