Boeing Settles Ex-Worker’s Sexual Harassment, Death Threat Suit

Boeing Co. reached a settlement with a former employee who alleged the company’s response to threats and sexual comments directed at her created a hostile work environment.

Erin Rippstein said that she received lewd notes while working for the company as a software engineer, and later received multiple emailed threats demanding she quit or else her and her family’s safety would be at risk. She alleged that the company installed a camera in her cubicle without her knowledge and a covert software program that recorded her computer activity.
