Boeing Questioned on Union by Over 70 Members of Congress

More than 70 U.S. representatives are demanding information from top Boeing Co. executive Dennis Muilenburg on the company’s reluctance to recognize a union at its South Carolina facility.

The members of Congress sent a letter to the CEO May 22 that calls on the company to bargain with the International Association of Machinists following a successful 2018 union vote. Boeing has challenged the legitimacy of the election before the National Labor Relations Board, saying that the bargaining unit illegally divides up the plant’s workforce. That case remains pending.
