Bob Evans Restaurants LLC underpays employees who earn part of their incomes through customer tips, former servers say in a new lawsuit.
The family restaurant chain pays servers a wage below the standard minimum for time they spend on tasks that don’t generate customer tips, such as stocking condiment stations, former servers Christopher Carr and Shureene Newsom say in a complaint filed Sept. 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
