BNY Mellon was sued by a former managing director who says the bank’s justification for firing him—that he went to a strip club with his co-workers—was a pretext for sex discrimination.

Steven Milazzo said the firing was in retaliation for complaining that a female vice president made unwanted sexual advances, but the bank claimed he was terminated for going to a strip club with co-workers and a supposedly derogatory conversation, according to a new lawsuit.
