The United Auto Workers said a majority of BlueOval SK workers in Kentucky voted to unionize for the first time, but the election still hangs in the balance with dozens of ballots contested.

The result at Ford Motor Co.'s joint venture with South Korea’s SK On, announced by the union Wednesday, comes while the two scale back battery production plans as EV markets begin to slump.
