Bluemercury Store Managers Seek Approval of $437,000 Wage Deal

Store managers of a beauty retailer owned by Macy’s Inc. seek approval of a $437,500 settlement in a case alleging unpaid overtime hours.

The unopposed motion for approval of class and collective action settlement was filed Monday in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Leslie Bethel, who worked as a store manager at three different Bluemercury Inc. stores in New York between March 2018 and March 2019, sued under the Fair Labor Standards Act on behalf of herself and similarly situated hourly store managers.
