A Missouri TV sports anchor and multimedia journalist’s lawsuit alleging Scripps Media Inc. failed to promote him because he is black and retaliated against him for filing administrative discrimination charges has been dismissed, federal court records show.
Judge Ortrie D. Smith of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri entered a signed order Tuesday, dismissing with prejudice Demetrice Jackson’s claims stemming from his employment with Scripps-owned KSHB-TV. The order came a day after the parties filed a stipulation of dismissal with the court.
