The White former sheriff of Pulaski County, Ga., and the estate of the White predecessor settled a Black deputy’s claims that he was fired over alleged misconduct for which White deputies escaped discipline, federal court records show.
The resolution was reached while Johnny Blash’s case against former Sheriff Danny Brannen and the late William Cape was pending before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
