Bio-Lab was cited and fined $61,473 for improperly storing hazardous chemicals that caused a fire at a facility in Conyers, Ga., the Occupational Safety and Health Administration announced Monday.

OSHA said that the fire originated at a Bio-Lab warehouse storing various chemicals and issued four serious and two other-than-serious citations to the company, the agency said.

The company has 15 business days from receipt of its citations and penalties to comply, request an informal conference with OSHA, or contest the findings before the independent Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission.
