Bill to Study Gig Worker Tax Concerns Offered by Sen. Warner

Sen. Mark Warner (D), a vocal advocate for gig economy workers, introduced legislation that would direct the U.S. Treasury to study tax issues for gig economy workers.

“This will look at how tax filings have changed for these workers over the years,” Warner said as part of his June 20 keynote speech at the Aspen Institute’s event, “The Future of Work: New BLS Data and Implications for the 21st Century Labor Market.”
